In an effort to help our environment, Red Apple has stepped up it's recycling efforts. Every little bit helps out. You can click on the tabs above to check our progress. All money raised will be put towards the Green Apple Project.
The Green Apple Project supports:
The Red Apple Garden Club - supplies and future plantings and landscaping
The science room - supplies that are needed to be replenished

Recycling Facts:
In one year in the United States, the recycling of steel saves enough energy to heat and light 18,000,000 homes!
Approximately 1 billion
trees worth of paper are thrown away every year in the U.S.
The energy saved from recycling one glass bottle can run a 100-watt light
bulb for four hours.
Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a TV for three hours -- or the equivalent of a half a gallon
of gasoline.
2 years, in the 4th of July Parade, we collected the following:
145 lbs of plastic in '08, 75 lbs in '09
183 lbs of aluminum in '08,
249 in '09
240 lbs of glass in '08, 85 in '09
Every first Friday is Green Day at Red Apple! Wear as much green as you can find to support our recycling efforts.
